We leave Funchal behind to take you on an open-air journey that balances the pure thrill of 4×4 off-roading with the slow, sun-drenched pleasures of traditional island gastronomy. You will feel the true scale of our home as our Land Rover climbs through massive mountain valleys, grips the dusty forest tracks, and cuts through emerald-green vineyards that drop straight down toward the sea.

Itinerary
We pick you up directly from your hotel or a nearby spot in Funchal and immediately head out toward Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, the true heartland of our wine culture where endless rows of green vines wrap around the hillsides. From there, we shift into four-wheel drive and climb sharply up to the spectacular Boca dos Namorados viewpoint at 1,000 meters altitude, standing out on a natural mountain balcony to look straight down into the majestic, sheer peaks of the Nuns' Valley.
We push through the high country of Jardim da Serra and drop down into the northern valleys, navigating rugged mountain paths and cutting through the island’s second-largest tunnel to reach the stunning Quinta do Barbusano. Here, you will spend an incredible hour walking the vineyards and enjoying an expert-guided tasting of exceptional red, white, and rosé wines, immediately followed by a legendary, authentic Madeiran lunch on the property—featuring succulent espetada grilled on traditional bay laurel skewers over an open flame.
After a relaxed, satisfying feast, we follow the dramatic northern coastline to the iconic village of Porto Moniz, famous across the world for its breathtaking natural pools sculpted out of black volcanic lava rock. You'll have plenty of time to take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear ocean water and soak in the wild coastal views before we hop back into the Land Rover for a scenic, sun-kissed cruise back to Funchal.
